Quickly Search The Internet From Windows 7 Start Menu
December 29, 2010
It can be pretty convenient and quick at times to search for stuff on internet directly from the Windows Start menu.
Here is how to do that :
1. Click the Windows orb button and type ” gpedit.msc”
2. This opens up an administrative console, drill down to Local Computer Policy > User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar.
3. Double click the option of “Add Search Internet link to Start Menu” on right pane as shown.
4. Select Enable and click Ok.
This will from now on show an option to search on internet using your default browser as well as search engine directly from the Start Menu.
Cheers.
