Here’s how to include compressed (.zip, .cab etc.) files in Windows 7 search:
1. In Windows Explorer click on ‘Organize>>Folder and search options’.
2. In ‘Folder Options’, click on ‘Search’ tab and check the option ‘Include compressed files (ZIP, CAB…)’.
Click ‘OK’ when done.
