When using the Terminal in Linux Mint / Ubuntu, funny or at times rather enlightening messages appear at the top of the window.
These have been around for a long long time and are called electronic fortune cookies. The file that is read here is present in Linux Mint / Ubuntu at /usr/games/fortune path.
Here is a simple way to kill time and have some geeky fun, why not try to read random messages like the ones shown above by typing fortune from the Terminal to see cool different fortune cookies. Do check out man fortune for additional options.
So next time when you feel that the Terminal is a boring place to be (it is definitely not), you know what to do. 😉
