Here’s how to install Cinnamon desktop in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS ‘Precise Pangolin’:
1. Issue the following command at the terminal –
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gwendal-lebihan-dev/cinnamon-stable
2. After the repository has been added, issue the following command at the terminal –
sudo apt-get update
3. After the package lists have been updated, issue the following command at the terminal to install Cinnamon desktop –
sudo apt-get install cinnamon
4. After the installation is complete, log out, click on the Ubuntu icon next to your user name, select ‘Cinnamon’, click ‘Back’ and login to Cinnamon desktop in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS ‘Precise Pangolin’.
