The popular desktop environment Cinnamon for Linux Mint 15 is easy to install and has provides lots of flexibility compared to traditional MATE or other similar environment.
To install it in Linux Mint 15 :
Open Terminal and type :
sudo apt-get install cinnamon
Let the installation complete. Then log out from current session and while logging back in, select “Cinnamon” as the session type. It also can be made to set as the default environment if desired when prompted during the very first login.
