ChatGPT, the revolutionary AI tool is a large language model developed by OpenAI. It is designed to generate human-like responses to natural language inputs, allowing it to engage in conversations with humans in a variety of contexts.
Having been trained on a massive amount of text data from the internet enables it to generate highly coherent and relevant responses to a wide range of questions and topics. It has become a popular tool for various applications, including customer service, virtual assistants, and chatbots.
You can export your data which includes your chats and queries with ChatGPT. Here is how:
Login to ChatGPT and click on the dots next to your account name at the bottom left of the chat screen.
Choose Settings. This opens the ChatGPT settings window. From the Data controls section, you can disable chat history and training for ChatGPT too, if needed. To export your data, click on the Export button.
A confirmation message will appear that lists what would be exported. Click on the Confirm export button to continue.
A brief notification will pop up once the export is complete.
Check your email inbox for the download link to your ChatGPT data.
The data exported would be in a zip format. Extract it, you will see all your conversations and chat history with ChatGPT along with the settings files.Â
The chat history is an HTML file that can be viewed in a browser while the configuration and settings files are in JSON format.
All done.
