The Resource controls feature in the Edge browser lets you set the amount of RAM that can be used by the browser. This is a useful feature if you find the browser performance sluggish or slow.
Here is how to access and configure it:
Open Edge browser and type in the address bar
edge://settings/system/managePerformance
Scroll down to the Manage your Performance section.

By default, Resource controls are off and Edge uses the maximum available system RAM. Enable it and a slider to set the RAM values will appear. Select and set the allocation as necessary.

Also, if you would like Resource controls to be enabled all the time, choose the option Always from under the section Choose when to control resources.

Know that this is different than Sleeping Tabs which only puts inactive tabs to sleep to free up memory.
Happy browsing.
