Here’s how to install and use Arista, a really cool and easy-to-use multimedia transcoder for Linux Mint / Ubuntu:
1. Issue the following command at the terminal –
sudo apt-get install arista
2. After the installation is complete, click on ‘Menu>Sound & Video>Arista Transcoder’ to start the application.
3. Just choose your multimedia source, the target device and a preset and start transcoding!

Can this program Batch Convert files?
Hi Steven,
The program can do batch processing. You’ll have to add the first file using the ‘Source:’ button on the right and then queue up rest of the files using the ‘+’ button on the left.
