Canonical has released the latest version of Ubuntu Linux – Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot). The new release brings in a number of changes – Linux Kernel 3.04, Unity shell(2D/3D) running on top of Gnome 3.2, LightDM login manager, DéjàDup backup tool, support for ARM architectures (NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC, Freescale i.MX53), Ubuntu Software Center 5.0, Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird as default browser/e-mail client application, new Alt+Tab switcher, new improved ‘Lenses’ filter instead of ‘Places’ and new artwork.
