How to Configure DNS Settings in Brave Browser
Whenever you type a website name like example.com into your browser, it doesn’t go there directly. First, the browser must find the website’s IP address (a number like 93.184.216.34). To do this, the browser asks a DNS server, which works like the Internet’s phone book.

It looks up the domain name and returns the correct IP address so the browser can load the site.
DNS for Brave browser
If you want more privacy, speed, or security, you can choose which DNS service your browser uses. Let us take a look at how to configure DNS providers in Brave browser.
To change the DNS provider in Brave browser, access the security settings by typing in the address bar:
brave://settings/security

Then, scroll down to Advanced section.

Over there, an option of Select DNS provider will be listed. The default is OS default. Click on it to select from a list of well-known DNS providers like Google DNS, OpenDNS, CloudFlare and so on.

If you wish, you can add custom DNS servers too by clicking Add custom DNS service provider.

Brave browser will now use the DNS service you selected, which may offer:

- Improved reliability
Happy browsing.
