Mail app the default email app in Windows 10 is a useful tool for managing multiple email accounts and for composing email messages from each of them.
Here are 4 useful features that make using it a lot more productive.
1. Linked inboxes:
If there are multiple email accounts added to the Mail app, you can view all their email messages as a single inbox. This is by using the linked inboxes feature. With this feature, you can add the inboxes of different email accounts under one inbox.
Here is how to enable it.
There are also nested linked inboxes which mean that even the linked inboxes can be further linked or nested.
This feature is useful in grouping all the personal email accounts as one inbox and work-related email accounts as another.
2. Different email signatures:
By default, there is a common email signature when using the Mail app.
However, this isn’t convenient when you have multiple email accounts added to it. So you can set a custom signature for each of these accounts from the Mail app settings.
Here is how to customize them.
3. Adding specific calendars:
You can add different specific calendars when using the Mail app. These calendars can be of different countries, different sporting events, and even TV programs.
When added, you will be notified of these events directly without having to add them individually to your calendar.
Here is how to add each of these calendars to the Mail app.
4. Drawing Canvas:
When composing email messages using the Mail app, you can also scribble and add drawings besides attaching images. This is by using the Drawing Canvas.
It opens a drawing area in which you can draw, scribble and jot down notes using a mouse.
Here is how to use it.
These features can make managing emails easier. Do try them out.
Happy emailing.
