5 New Games To Look Forward To In The Second Half Of 2018

We’re almost halfway done with the year, but the gaming community continues to get more treats with the influx of high-quality video games that will surely bring out the excitement in every gamer out there.

From January up to the present, we have seen some great games that received a positive reception from gaming critics, including God of War, Far Cry 5, Monster Hunter: World, and Red Dead Redemption 2.

We should expect the hype to continue throughout the year with a formidable lineup of upcoming games that will definitely rock the gaming world this 2018.

Learn more about the five new video games that you should look forward to in the second half of this year.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

Set to be released on the 12th of October, Call of Duty: Black Ops is one of the highly-anticipated first-person shooter games by many of its followers. The game will feature the comeback of the Specialists, a group of soldiers with unique traits and special skills.

Perhaps the most striking change in this version of the long-running Call of Duty franchise is the omission of the single-player campaign. Don’t worry though as the addition of Blackout, a brand new battle royale mode, will make the game more exciting like never before.

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth

Following the Legion installment, Blizzard Entertainment is set to release the seventh expansion set of the World of Warcraft series. This MMORPG game was already available for preorder on January, but the release is expected on August 14. Some of the new features that you should expect are the increase of the level cap from 110 to 120, the addition of two new continents and uncharted islands, and the introduction of Warfronts, a 20-player PvE mode where you battle against opposing factions of non-playing characters (NPC).

Monster Hunter: Generations Ultimate

Monster Hunter: World is highly regarded for its stunning and smooth visuals. You should expect the same quality for Monster Hunter: Generations Ultimate with simpler environments and colors that are warmer to the eyes. The game will also feature a greater number of monsters that will take you hundreds of hours before you’ve seen everything.

Mark your calendars on August 28 and experience the excitement of this game first-hand.

The Crew 2

Roughly four years after the release of the introductory game, Ubisoft and Ivory Tower are set to release a highly-improved installment of the series in The Crew 2. The game will be launched on June 29 and will be available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.

The game features a scaled-down remodel of the United States in which players can control different vehicles including motorcycles, cars, boats, and aircraft.

Battlefield V

One year after Battlefield 1 made its mark in the gaming world, Electronic Arts is set to release a new installment on October 19 entitled Battlefield V. The game will be focused on the World War II setting and will feature a Company system wherein players can customize their characters with different weapons and cosmetic items.

Battlefield V will be anchored on a single-player campaign with the regular multiplayer battles on the side.
